# Build zones

The build zone is limited by using actor tags. Each buildable object has restriction tags in the DT\_Buildinfo. The surface you are trying to build on has to have one of the restriction tag in order to be built on. This way we are able to make custom buildzones for each object e.g interor and exterior objects. These tags can also be added to the placeable object using the surface tags which will let you place other objects on top if they have the surface tag in the restriction tag.
